Jan Abernethy - Be An Educacher - Educaching is a stem-based curriculum aligned with the common core. Imagine using the fun sport of geocaching to teach your students in an outdoor laboratory. If you have always been curious about geocaching or you’re an avid geocacher and want to make the jump to educaching, this is the session for you. In this session, we will cover the basics of geocaching and discuss resources and ideas for using it in the classroom. SESSION RESOURCES

Chad Lehman - Twitter for Beginners - You’ve heard the hype about Twitter, but haven’t quite taken the leap yet? Join us for a hands on session will get you started. You’ll set up your account or update your existing account and more the basic. We’ll explore Twitter lingo, hashtags, and Twitter chats. A brief overview of each service will be shown as well as practical application in the classroom. Erin Prosser/Courtney Garrett - iPads with Primary Students - iPads, iPads, and more iPads. How can primary teachers use iPads as an instructional tool with their students? Traci Blazosky - Paper, Slide, Action! - Want to advance literacy in multiple ways? Explore subject matter in an exciting way? Storytelling can be used to frame learning, scaffold content and enable students to imagine new perspectives. Accomplish this with a few sheets of paper and a video camera. Think of some content from your curriculum that you'd like to enrich, and come and slide with me!

Rebecca Ritenour - Transition to Common Core with LearnZillion - LearnZillion is a learning platform that combines video lessons, assessments, and progress reporting. Each lesson highlights a Common Core standard. This summer, 200 "dream team" teachers created over 2000 lessons and videos for use in elementary, middle, and high school focusing on math and ELA skills. As a member of the Dream Team this summer, I will share the experience of creating lessons for this site as well as highlight some of the features available.

Winnie Kwok and Nick Dawson - The Discovery Education Builder Tools - This session will explore the Builder Tools available in Discovery Education. Explore how to make quizzes, writing prompts, and assignment and how to assign those to get your students interacting more with Discovery Education. SESSION RESOURCES

Bridget Belardi - Appy Hour! - Appy hour is not just for Fridays at 5:00! Come and learn about ways to seamlessly integrate one iPad (or one for every student) in your classroom. We will look at apps that apply to all grade levels for teacher productivity, video (and green screen) production, and other interactive multimedia.
